2020...what can we say about this year!! COVID 19 PANDEMIC, Lockdowns, restrictions, disrupted lessons over the school year. Nevertheless, students have been resilient and somehow managed to keep things going. Online lessons, something new and experimental...but it worked! Despite these setbacks, students did an amazing job with exam results both at TRINITY COLLEGE, LONDON and NCEA, performed in school music projects, from Concert band to Jazz Band, as well as, Inter school Band Competitions! Very proud of their accomplishments. As in previous years, this culminated in a Student drum Concert, where they get to perform for their family and friends. The Concert was pretty last minute and done on 1 day with around 40 participants. We have to thanks the Rock Shop once again for their contribution of little gifts and prizes to recognise the efforts of all the students!
The Drumadiddle 2020 OUTSTANDING student trophy was shared by 3 students again this year - GIRL POWER prevailed : Angela Marshall, Ally Basa and Ruth Lee
Here are some pictures of the high achievers and also of the performances, captured by Matthew Rhys. Thanks to Matt Carroll for help with moving gear, setups and pack out and my family and Ricky Singh for the support, to help run the Concert!
